  The Nigerian Air Force has commenced its 2026 recruitment exercise for eligible Nigerians seeking enlistment as tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women. The recruitment is for the Basic Military Training Course 47/2026, with online registration opening on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and closing on October 14, 2026. The application is free of charge. The NAF advised prospective applicants to carefully study the eligibility requirements and application guidelines before submitting their forms. TRAGEDY DURING EASTER REHEARSAL: MAN DIES IN CROSS RIVER PASSION OF CHRIST DRAMA.

Shock and sorrow have gripped residents of Cross River State following the sudden death of a young man during a rehearsal for the annual Passion of Christ play.
The incident happened in Ugep, where church members were preparing for the Easter presentation. The victim, identified as Michael Obeten, reportedly died after a locally made explosive used for stage effects malfunctioned during the rehearsal.

According to eyewitnesses, what seemed like part of the drama quickly turned into a real-life tragedy when it became clear something had gone wrong. A fragment from the device allegedly struck him, leading to his untimely death.

💔 Even more heartbreaking, the deceased was said to have played the role of Jesus in previous years and was actively involved in preparing others for the performance.   

The shocking incident has left the entire community in deep mourning, raising serious concerns about safety measures during religious and public performances.

 T he Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has ordered the withdrawal of 2026 UTME results for several candidates due to massive examination malpractice and high-tech fraud .  The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the withdrawal of certain 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, with affected candidates expected to participate in a forthcoming mop-up examination.  According to notifications sent to some candidates, the Board stated that the affected UTME results had been withdrawn and that fresh examination schedules would be communicated in due course. The notification reads: > “Your 2026 UTME result has been withdrawn. You will be rescheduled for the mop-up exam.
