  The Nigerian Air Force has commenced its 2026 recruitment exercise for eligible Nigerians seeking enlistment as tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women. The recruitment is for the Basic Military Training Course 47/2026, with online registration opening on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and closing on October 14, 2026. The application is free of charge. The NAF advised prospective applicants to carefully study the eligibility requirements and application guidelines before submitting their forms. 𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗕 EXPLAINS DELAY IN 2026 UTME ORIGINAL RESULT SLIPS

JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, made this known in a statement shared on X on Tuesday, May 19. 

According to the board, the delay is due to the conclusion of foreign examinations and preparations for the mop-up examination for candidates who could not participate in the main examination through no fault of theirs.
“The printing of the 2026 UTME Original Result Slip has not yet been activated. Candidates are kindly urged to be patient as the Board has just concluded the foreign examinations and is also preparing to conduct the mop-up examination for candidates who were unable to sit for the main examination through no fault of theirs,” the statement read.

JAMB explained that the UTME is a ranking examination and that the original result slip contains candidates’ rankings, making it necessary for all processes to be completed before the slips are released.

“Candidates are reminded that the UTME is a ranking examination, and the Original Result Slip contains the ranking of candidates. Consequently, all necessary processes must be completed before the slips can be released,” Benjamin stated.

 T he Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has ordered the withdrawal of 2026 UTME results for several candidates due to massive examination malpractice and high-tech fraud .  The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the withdrawal of certain 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, with affected candidates expected to participate in a forthcoming mop-up examination.  According to notifications sent to some candidates, the Board stated that the affected UTME results had been withdrawn and that fresh examination schedules would be communicated in due course.
